Campaigning to get the Telephone System working
The telephone system at Vale Drive where East Barnet Health Centre is temporarily relocated can not handle the extra load. Patients are having great difficulties getting through to make appointments. When the system overloads and crashes Doctors lose their internet access to patient records.
We have been complaining and trying to find a solution for some time now.
We are still not clear who is responsible for the telephone system.
Theresa Villiers MP said ""I welcome the news that an order has been placed with BT for a new phone system to expand capacity at Vale Drive and enable an automated check in to be set up to address problems with build up of queues and pressure on reception staff. I will be contacting BT to urge them to get the work done as soon as possible."
We are pressuring BT ourselves and encouraging others to do so.
We are trying to find the name of the person who is responsible for the telephone line so that we can
- ask them when the system will be properly functioning
- ask them to explain exactly what is being done and why there has been a problem for so long
- ask them to contact us when the system has been upgraded/fixed
- contact if the system is not fixed by the date promised.
